Please help us and to avoid your own disappointment please read all the information below carefully.
The text phone is only for use when the ferry is running and we have limited ability to reply to individual queries – sorry!
There is no access to inside toilets but there are outdoor composting toilets.
Dress appropriately for wet weather, wild land and midgies.
The ferry holds a maximum of six passengers (regardless of age).
There is no booking – first come, first served but the jetty area is a lovely place to hang out.
The journey takes 5 minutes so the boat returns regularly. Departing from Ardmair Jetty which has very limited parking.
Please park at Ardmair beach layby and TAKE EXTREME CARE walking along the grass verge to the jetty.
Do not walk on the road. PLEASE DO NOT park anywhere on the road or any gateways or tracks.
Lifejackets MUST be donned on land and then await skipper’s instructions for embarking on the boat.
Children must be closely supervised at all times and must not move about the boat during the journey.
Saturdays and Sundays, weather dependent until end September. Cancellation information will appear here when possible.
First ferry departs 11am and last one returns 4pm. Make sure you are in the queue to return in plenty of time to help reduce delays.

Payment accepted by CASH only with no change given. Please bring correct money.

If you arrive at the jetty you can text for the ferry to collect you – within published ferry hours only: 07522 929145
This is not foolproof and you may have to wait!
Dogs are now permitted if kept under control as stated in the Scottish Outdoor Access Code applying to areas with nesting birds.
Be prepared to pick up poo wherever it drops. Very small children are having a great time on the island, please ensure your dog does not cause alarm to them.
